Speaking to GB News’ Mark Dolan, expert Judi James said the Prime Minister may have suddenly seen the “future” of Number 10 flash before his eyes as the Chancellor delivered his third Budget to the House of Commons. Chancellor Rishi Sunak, who was on his feet for little over an hour, delivered his third Budget since succeeding Sajid Javid in February 2020.
During his speech, the 41-year-old MP for Richmond (Yorks) revealed he would cut beer duty, scrap the planned fuel levy increase, slash the taper rate for Universal Credit by eight percent and even give low-paid workers a 59p pay rise by raising the minimum wage.
He also slapped smokers with an extra fee for a packet of cigarettes, confirmed the 1.25 percent hike in National Insurance Contributions will go ahead and suggested interest rates could rise in the future.
However, a snap poll conducted by pollsters at Savanta ComRes found 53 percent of Britons supported the move.
In comparison, a flimsy 15 percent said they disapproved of Mr Sunak’s fiscal measures.

During her appearance on GB News, Ms James said Sunak’s stellar performance left the Prime Minister looking “threatened”.
“It was quite the performance,” she said.
“So dynamic, in fact, that what fascinated me was that when he was in full flight, you could actually see Boris sitting behind him at one point looking quite threatened.
“He had his folder clutched to his chest as a barrier as though he’d suddenly seen the future as far as Number 10 was concerned.”
She added: “There’s a formidable mime going on here.
“If you look at Rishi’s gesticulation, this guy can gesticulate with one hand, the other hand, both hands at the same time.
“He’s doing his Tony Blair tribute act thumb of power at that point.
“But a lot of the gestures were his own.

“They were quite congruent, he’s doing a full rotation of the head, he’s playing to the gallery.”
Ms James’ comments come at a time when most political pundits appear to place Mr Sunak as the frontrunner to succeed Mr Johnson as Prime Minister.
The Brexit-backing MP, who only entered the Commons in 2015, currently polls as the most popular Chancellor since Denis Healey, a frontbench favourite amongst Tory Party members and as much more fiscally prudent than his neighbour in Number 10.
