Bloke cut in half by forklift back in pool as partner panics as he goes under
A man cut in half by a forklift has been filmed getting back into a swimming pool – but the experience nearly went horribly wrong and it left his wife “panicking”.
In September 2019, labourer Loren Schauers, 20, fell 50ft and was crushed by a forklift which severed his forearm and crushed his lower body.
The young man then bravely made the decision to allow doctors to perform hemicorperectomy surgery – where everything below his waist was amputated – to save his life.

And ever since the successful surgery, Loren, from Great Falls in Montana, has spent the last three years documenting his path to recovery and the intimate details of his new life.
In a new video update on YouTube, Loren, alongside wife Sabia, had been swimming.
But things took a dramatic turn when he went under water while testing his water buoyancy.
Filmed on some kind of small inflatable ring, Loren is shown wearing a life jacket, while being pushed around the pool.
But he very quickly fell off the raft, while his wife can be heard gasping.

Another clip shows him keeping himself afloat using his arms – one of which has no hand – while he starts to roll over in the water.
His wife can be heard shouting to warn him not to “hit your head”.
At the start of the video, Sabia does admit to panicking when he goes under.
Loren said: “As I was swimming, she let me go once and I can hold myself up for a second paddling.
“I can rotate and stuff and catch my breath so she doesn't need to stop me.”

Sabia added: “It was a really good time and it was nice to be able to get out of the house and film again.
“We've just been enjoying existing for a little bit, but we figured it was time we got out and did something fun and filmed it.”
The couple have 577k subscribers on YouTube, and have so far published 97 videos featuring life updates.
The video explaining what happened to Loren has been viewed a whopping 4.7 million times.
