Colorado weather: Another hot, dry and hazy day for metro area – The Denver Post
More hot and dry weather means means more fire danger for much of the state on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for most of southern Colorado and an Air Quality Alert for the northern Front Range.
Officials singled out South Park and Lincoln County, as well as eastern Elbert County, for having especially high fire danger.
In Denver, the expect high on Wednesday is 94 degrees, with little chance for precipitation. Overnight the low will be around 54 degrees.
Then on Thursday things are supposed to cool off to around 76 degrees with a 30 percent chance for showers or thunderstorms after noon. Precipitation is likely Thursday night and Friday, when the high will be around 74 degrees.
The sun and more heat are expected to return for the weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
