A glam singer was bit by a snake while she posed seductively for the camera during a video shot last week.

Maeta had pulses racing with her risqué music video before it was put to a halt due to a creature on set.

The 21-year-old could be seen surrounded by snakes while she was lying on a carpet before one launched at her.

She was dressed in a low cut lace number and was all smiles in the moments leading up to the reptile slivering up her chin and biting her.

The model looked taken aback as she pushed the snake off of her chest before she rolled away from the animal.

A person off-camera could be heard in shock and said: "Oh it bit her like this."

Maeta shared the footage on Instagram and Twitter which has since been liked thousands of times.

It has been shared far and wide and the clip has now gone viral following the mishap on set.

She captioned the video: "What I go through to make videos for y'all."

It has been reported that none of the snakes seen in the video was venomous and the musician was only injured on her chin.

The R&B singer shot to fame after uploading her music onto SoundCloud when she was a teenager.

She became more known when she was signed to Jay-Z's label Roc Nation earlier this year in April and released her debut album Habits.
