Man fired shots at oil and gas field workers in Weld County sheriff says
Authorities in Weld County are looking for a man who allegedly fired shots at oil and gas field workers and the public is asked to help identify the suspect.
The incident happened at 2:15 p.m. Monday north of Brighton near Weld County roads 6 and 29, according to the sheriff’s office.
Workers reported that several gun shots were fired at them and their equipment by someone in a white SUV driving by the work site. No workers were injured.
The suspect is described as a stocky white man, in his 30s to 40s, with short dark hair and a goatee. There was at least one other person in the SUV at the time of the incident.
The SUV is a white Chevrolet Trailblazer, the sheriff’s office said, with a Denver Broncos logo on the left side of the tailgate and Colorado license plate UQY-913.
