Meghan and Harry irrelevant as Queen hails new Fab Four royal dream team

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been dubbed as "irrelevant" following their notable absence from this year's COP26 climate change summit where the Queen's new "Fab Four" have been praised by many.

The United Nations climate change conference has seen more than 120 world leaders gather in Glasgow to discuss the pressing climate change issues facing our planet.

Among those in attendance were members of the Royal Family, including Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which many have called the new "Fab Four", Express reports.

Fab Four – famously applied to the Beatles in their heyday – is also a term that was previously used to describe Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate and Meghan.

As the Queen was ordered to stay home by doctors following a recent hospital visit, a video message from her was played to attendees on Monday evening (1st Nov).

The speech included heaps of praise for both Prince William and Prince Charles in their efforts towards environmentalism, with Prince Harry's name notably left out.

Despite the Queen not being at the conference in person, her and the Royal Family's presence was known, with many commenting on the notable absence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

@RoyallyBlunt, a fan page for the royals, wrote: "The Queen has positioned Charles and William firmly on the global stage and in the minds of powerful world leaders.

"Linking them to Prince Philip was a fantastic move. The Royal Family have achieved what the Sussexes wanted. #6 is now totally irrelevant. It is finished."

While Alex Phillips, Presenter on GB News, also echoed the absence: “William and Kate smashing it at the moment. She’s never looked more stunning. And at ease.

“What’s a pity is the thought of what could have been done had the Duke and Duchess of Montecito cherished the institution they were in. What power they would have wielded as the Fab Four."
