The parents of a vulnerable man who was murdered on camera by a depraved couple have told of their torment.

Michelle and Chris Nicholson’s lives were torn apart when their beloved son Phillip, who had learning difficulties, was killed aged 22.

Monsters Isabella Gossling, then aged 20, and Richard Moors, who was 26, filmed on a phone as they stabbed and beat him to death.

It has been more than six years since the murder, but mum Michelle can’t shake the memories.

She said: “What happened after that completely changed my life forever. I was about to go and have a bath, so I only had my nightie and dressing gown on.

“The doorbell goes. I went down to the door, opened the door and it’s these three ladies, all in plain clothes.

“She looked at me and said, ‘We found a body, we believe it to be your son’. My heart just sank. My world had just been ripped apart.”

Dad Chris added: “It’s knowing what’s happened to Philip, trying to live with what’s happened is difficult.”

Michelle and Chris had feared Phillip was at risk for months before his murder.

He had moved out two years earlier and struck up a relationship with Gossling. Within weeks she began bullying and abusing him and started seeing Moors at the same time.

Chris tried to warn Phillip to walk away, but said: “He could not see the danger, no matter what we tried to say or do.” In 2015 Phillip was lured to Gossling and Moors’ flat in Bournemouth, where he was murdered.

In the footage, Moors asks: “Are you paralysed yet? Have you stopped breathing yet? Please do, because no-one will miss you.”

The pair left so much evidence they were caught by police soon after. They pleaded not guilty but were both sentenced to life in prison.

Chris said: “I recently found out that Phillip’s last words were, ‘Please stop, I just want to be friends’.
