Pregnant woman, 22, beheaded by savage monster as ex arrested over her murder

A heavily pregnant US woman has been decapitated by a “freaking savage monster” as her ex has been arrested for her murder, according to police.

After 22-year-old Liese Dodd hadn’t been in touch in a while, her worried mother Heidi Noel visited her flat in Alton, Illinois, to see how she was.

Heidi found her daughter’s headless body lying on the apartment’s floor with the young woman’s head being later found in bins outside the apartment building.

Alton police Chief Marcos Pulido says that officers had been traumatised by what they saw at the crime scene.

He said: “What was observed, what was learned, what was found, is absolutely terrible,” he said. “She was decapitated by a freaking savage monster.”

“What she went through … can make some people completely lost for words,” Pulido added.

Police have now arrested Liese ex-boyfriend Deundrea S. Holloway on suspicion of murder. Holloway, 22, was already in custody on an unrelated charge when officers eventually tracked him down.

Holloway had been picked up by police investigating a bicycle theft but had refused to give his name.

Gillespie police Chief Jared DePoppe told reporters that the suspect was “combative and uncooperative” when they picked him up and had tried to smash his head against the wall and refused to sit down.

It was only later that police officers found out that the “John Doe” they had in custody was Holloway.

Holloway is also on probation for a 2019 robbery. He had confessed in court to robbing his friend of cash on their way to buy marijuana, according to Macoupin County state’s attorney Jordan Garrison..

Holloway has now been charged with with two counts of first-degree murder in Dodd’s death and two counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child, Madison County State’s Attorney Thomas Haine said in a statement on Monday.

The multiple charges are standard in Illinois, to allow juries some flexibility in their verdicts.

Holloway also is charged with dismembering a human body, concealing a homicide and possessing a stolen car.

Holloway is currently being held in jail on a $2,000,000 bond.
