Prince Louis to play role at Kings coronation, leaked plan suggests

Leaked documents have revealed that Prince Louis, the youngest of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s three children, will have a role to play alongside his siblings at King Charles III’s coronation in May.

Documents seen by the Times show Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Louis are expected to get in a carriage with their parents as everyone goes from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.

No royal household has yet confirmed the presence of Kate and William's children at the huge event.

It is understood that the Waleses will follow behind the famous Gold State Coach as it takes the newly-crowned King and Queen to Buckingham Palace.

The plans also suggested that only working members of the firm would be involved in this procession, which will be just a third of the size of the one that took place after Queen Elizabeth was crowned in 1953.

The only other royals who have been mentioned in the procession plans are Charles’ sister Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra.

Prince Andrew, who stepped back from public duties in November 2019, and his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, appear to be excluded from the procession.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also not mentioned in the leaked plans.

Despite this, royal household officials are reportedly expecting to see the Sussexes at the coronation in May.

Louis’ expected attendance at the procession will be the first time in nearly a year that he has attended a high-profile state event.

He missed the funeral service of his great-grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth, in September at Westminster Abbey as well as her committal service at Windsor Castle later in the day.

The Daily Star has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.
