Social media footage showed a large swath of vehicles from a “Jews For Trump” rally driving through Brooklyn and Manhattan yesterday. But the President’s supporters met with demonstrators along their route, with some attempting to rip flags off of the pro-Trump vehicles. Other reports showed violence from Republican supporters, where video showed a man tackling a demonstrator over a barricade.

Twitter accounts posted a series of videos where supporters and protesters clashed.

NYC Scanner posted a clip where two protested threw rocks at a “Jews For Trump” convoy in Brooklyn.

The account also showed footage of a lone protester throwing eggs at the vehicle convoy.

NYC Scanner also showed a lone protester blocking traffic, and claimed: “This man is so upset that a #JewsForTrump vehicle convoy practically shut down the Brooklyn Bridge while heading to Manhattan, that he began punching vehicles.”

As the vehicle convoy passed Trump Tower in Manhattan, a larger mob of anti-Trump protesters were spotted.

One woman was filmed being arrested on Fifth Avenue after allegedly hosing the Trump vehicles with pepper spray.

Social media footage also showcased a brawl between a Trump supporter and protesters in Times Square, where a man left his vehicle and was punched by the crowd.

The clip also showcased red paint being thrown onto the vehicles, with police arresting the alleged vandal.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was also seen in an intense stand-off with the demonstrators.

Onlookers were spotted throwing rocks at the former mayor’s entourage of cars, while others hurled insults.

One protester shouted at Mr Giuliani that he was the “worst mayor in the history of New York.”

A spokesman for the New York Police Department said in total five men and two woman were arrested throughout the day.

The spokesman said: “Anyone who was observed committing a crime was placed under arrest.”

After encountering resistance from the protesters, the “Jews For Trump” fleet convened in Marine Park for an impromptu rally.

Social media reaction was split on the chaotic scenes, with some blaming the protesters violence on Black Lives Matter and Antifa.

One Twitter user said: “Anti Trump protesters are attacking Jews for supporting Trump.

“Do you condemn the violence coming from your party?”

It comes as the November 3 election draws closers, with just eight days until Mr Trump or Democrat rival Joe Biden are elected President.

Mr Trump and Mr Biden have not yet commented on the New York scenes, with the President currently campaigning in Bangor, Maine.

During a rally in New Hampshire the same day, he boasted of his election chances, and said: “They don’t know what’s going to hit them – red wave.”
