A mum has tragically died just months after giving birth to her daughter through IVF.<\/p>\n
Taylor Johnston, from Australia, was just 29 when she died from cancer on September 18, four months after giving birth to her baby Billie Mae.<\/p>\n
Ms Johnston, who lived in Victoria\u2019s Mornington Peninsula, was told just 10 days after Billie\u2019s birth that she might have cervical cancer, a diagnosis that was later confirmed.<\/p>\n
Ms Johnston\u2019s death was announced via a GoFundMe page set up by her family who said their \u201cbeloved Taylor\u201d had \u201cgained her angel wings\u201d.<\/p>\n
READ MORE <\/strong> Heat phenomenon El Ni\u00f1o threatening to send an entire country into meltdown[LATEST] <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Mail reports that Ms Johnston had recently married her husband, Jesse, in 2022 and that the couple had been through two rounds of IVF before she became pregnant.<\/p>\n On May 19, after 25 hours of labour, she gave birth to her daughter Bily Mae. In the aftermath, midwives discovered a polyp on her cervix.<\/p>\n Ten days later they were told it was cervical cancer and soon after Ms Johnston was told it had spread to her bone marrow.<\/p>\n As a result, Ms Johnston began chemotherapy soon after giving birth, a treatment which meant she was unable to have her daughter by her side.<\/p>\n Furthermore, due to the severe nature of her condition, testing to find out where the cancer\u00a0had come from had to be abandoned to maximise the chemotherapy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Following her death, tributes have poured in from friends and loved ones. Her<\/p>\n One person wrote: \u201cMy beautiful, beautiful Tay, you were the sunshine, you were everything all at once.<\/p>\n \u201cYou had a lightness about you that no one will ever replace. My heart breaks for your baby girl and the man of your dreams. My heart is shattered.\u201d<\/p>\n Another person said: \u201cMy heart is so heavy. Tay, my beautiful best friend. The sunshine in our lives, I am truly lost for words.<\/p>\n “This world is so cruel to take you, but I know you can rest easy now. I love you. In a statement, they said: \u201cThe Rye Football Netball Club is heartbroken to hear of the passing of one of our most loved netballers Taylor Johnston, after a short but brave battle with cancer.<\/p>\n \u201cTaylor was loved by all those that she met and shared the court or dance floor with her.<\/p>\n \u201cA feisty and determined defender on the court and Rye player for the past seven years. It was Taylor’s kind and positive personality that made her the ultimate teammate and friend.<\/p>\n \u201cTogether, we will always remember and honour Taylor and the remarkable impact she has had on all that were lucky to meet her.
