Putin flaunts nuclear suitcases in China

Russian President Vladimir Putin could be seen “hunched”, “sitting low” and “losing his train of thought” in a recent photo, analyzed as the Kremlin denies he suffered a cardiac arrest.

An unsourced report by a Russian Telegram channel claimed on Sunday that Putin had to receive medical attention after collapsing on the floor.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday: “Everything is fine with him, this is absolutely another fake.”

Addressing rumors Putin uses a body double, Peskov said: “This belongs to the category of absurd information hoaxes that a whole series of media discuss with enviable tenacity. This evokes nothing but a smile.”

Now, a body language expert tells Daily Express US that Putin looked as though he was “losing his train of thought” at one stage as he met with Valery Gerasimov, chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, on Sunday.

The meeting took place in Rostov-on-Don and came just hours before his cardiac arrest was rumored to have happened.

Analysing the Russian President, James said: “Does Putin look like a 71-year-old man in a high-pressured role who has suffered a major cardiac arrest a few days ago? Probably not, although there are some signs from his body language to raise mild concerns or interest in his current state of health.

“The dimpling of the neck could just be caused by the pressure of the collar on older, baggier skin. His lips look pink not blue-ish and there don’t seem to be any expressions of caution or concern as he makes his way down the stairs here with movements that suggest energy and a relaxed-looking facial expression.

“You might expect someone with acute health issues, even someone desperate to appear like a strong leader, to automatically put one hand out towards the bannister. Putin’s hand though seem to be touching his heart region here but that could be a tie or clothing-checking gesture.

“The pose sitting facing his colleague across the desk is probably the pose most likely to fuel the rumors. Putin has folded his hands in front of him, which normally signals a desire to keep silent. The way his left hand is placed over his right could look protective, as if he is covering for a lack of movement in the right hand although this idea seems to be quashed when his right hand looks active in the next shot.

“He does look distracted here, as though he might have lost his train of thought, with his brows puckered and his eyes turned away and down to his right. His steely, stern gaze looks intimidating enough in the next photo although in the last one he does appear to be sitting low and rather hunched in his seat, suggesting low energy, although this seems to have been taken at a different meeting with a lighter blue suit and tie with red in the design.”

Rumurs surrounding Putin’s health have swirled for years. Independent media outlet Proekt once reported that Putin travels with an oncologist, indicating that he could have cancer.

But the Kremlin has repeatedly denied any suggestion that Putin is suffering health complications.
