Donald Trump tipped to win 2024 election if RFK runs as independent – new poll
Basham explains why Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is so popular
Donald Trump would beat bitter rival Joe Biden and win the presidential election in 2024 if Robert Kennedy Jr (RFK Jr) decides to run as an independent candidate, a stunning new Daily Express US poll has revealed.
Kennedy is continuing to tease that he will run as an independent candidate if he’s not given a fair shot against Biden in the 2024 Democratic primaries.
This would likely pave the way for Trump to win back the White House following his defeat three years ago, according to new exclusive polling for the Daily Express US.
More than half (58 percent) of Democratic voters in the latest Democracy Institute/Express US poll said they would vote for Biden in their state’s 2024 Democratic presidential primary.

But what is most telling is that RFK was clear in second place with 27 percent of the vote – indicating that if he did run as an independent, he could take a massive chunk of Democratic support away from Biden in the final polling.
Furthermore, the 1,500 participants in the poll from October 3-5 were asked who they would vote for in the presidential election if it was between Democrat Biden, Republican Trump and independent RFK.
Former president Trump came out on top with 44 percent, ahead of bitter rival Biden on 44 percent and fellow Democrat RFK with 11 percent.
In another bitter blow to Biden, just four in 10 (40 percent) of the poll participants said they approve of his overall performance as president, with a huge 57 percent disapproving.

Recently, Democracy Institute and leading US pollster Patrick Basham described Republican Trump and Democrat rival Kennedy as “the dream ticket” for next year’s presidential election.
He said: “I think a lot of people, especially on the Trump side, would like [a Trump/ Kennedy ticket]. It makes a lot of sense electorally, even policy-wise in terms of the the issues that both are going to stress in this election.”
RFK is also expected to announce that he will run for president as an independent candidate in Pennsylvania on Monday, sources close to his team have revealed.
According to a report by Mediate, his campaign is planning “attack ads” that will target the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
It is highly possible that anti-Trump Republicans could be drawn to the third-party candidate.
Any run as an independent would be a huge departure from the Democratic Party which has been synonymous with the Kennedy family name for decades.
A Kennedy campaign insider reportedly said: “Bobby feels that the DNC is changing the rules to exclude his candidacy so an independent run is the only way to go.”
